“Pacific Tour and the Way Home for 2011″

Hi all to those interested in what I am up to! This is basically a rough plan of what I plan to do from Nov 2010 after the full refurbishment of “Susan” my sailing Yacht. My plan is to sail!

Asia-Pacific Plan

Route 1: Langkawi (Malaysia) to Puket (Thailand) and back to Langkawi (stopping at the various islands in between).

Route 2: Langkawi to Singapore, via Penang, Pangkor, Port Dickson and Melaka (all Malaysia).

Route 3: Singapore around Malaysia East coast to Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu (stopping at the various islands in between).

Route 4: head back down from Kuala Terengganu to Sabah (East Malaysia) via Sarawak and Brunei (actual destinations to be planned)

Route 5: (Depending on funds/time) Sabah to Melbourne (Australia) via Indonesia and east coast of Auatralia (actual destinations and routes to be planned).

Route 6: Sabah or Melbourne back to Langkawi Malaysia.

I am planing 6months out for the routes, but to be honest Time is not an issue, just the running costs and funds to complete all planned routes.

“The way Home 2011″

Unless I find a great opportunity and life style in Asia pacific, plan to sail to Plymouth, England (Home) around Apr 2011 on a voyage that should take 3-4months (so hopefully arrive in the UK summer).

Malaysia Langkawi –> Andaman and Nicobar islands –> Sri Lanka –> Maldives –> British Indian ocean territory –> Mauritius islands –> Madagascar –> South Africa –> St Helena (British territory) –> Cape Verde –> Morocco –> Spain –> Portugal –> France –> Plymouth England.

Future Trips…

Mediterranean and Caribbean trips are future plans.

Langkawi and Boat 12.09

For the first time I slept on my boat for over a week with my friend Wong, we installed the elec systems and made the boat more homely! The boat is starting to take shape!

Boat at 80% Interior and 60% Deck

It looks like the interior and Deck work will be finshed before the end of Nov, I will then early Dec finish off the electronics and water systems and remaining parts installation. After that it is a matter of lifting the boat out for clean up, paint and prop shaft repair. hopefully this will be completed before the end of the year!

Moving to Singapore Soon!

Hi to all my buddies!

I will be moving to Singapore within the next few months after signing a new contract last week with my old company International logging Inc, where I will be spending the next 2 years setting up their GCT operations. In the meantime I am working in the UK branch in Plymouth.

I will be making regular visits back to the UK and have only 183 working days to commit in a year to the office, so I will also be planning to get my own yacht and explore both by water and land southeast asia as best I can!
